It's much more delicate than just pulling down :)
Wait. Which Stravinsky piece 2 or 3????
❤La mejor clase de filosofía impartida por un musico. Ahora entiendo por qué Eddie Daniels es el mejor de todos los tiempos; su virtuosismo deriva de su certeza.
Can u teach me
I believed you 😢
Vandoren Optum ligature is my ligature of choice. Easy to use and elegant. It includes 3 pressure plate options with which to experiment.
Im a cellist, but regardless this was interesting
Why don't we just make the entire body using carbon fibre?
Great question! We use a wood core to maintain the warmth of sound that has made us all fall in love with the clarinet. After years of testing, we've found this particular combination to provide the best sound possible.
Awesome!!!
Noice !!
i'm struggling so hard to learn a marching band solo, it's my senior year and I've been playing for seven years but I just cant play those fast notes, but I'm going to practice and try until I get it.
How much
air support 😮
LOLLLLL
I would love tips on how to play that piece with that fast of an articulation. The way I was taught I would never and could never get up to a decent speed.
Relaxing your tongue is key. Use consistent, steady air and make sure to practice starting very slow. Good luck!
Too bad the vid cut off “short.” 👎🏻

Can you please tell me the dimensions of bore, especially for the diameter and shape? I use very old instruments those have cylindrical mid-large bore of 14.80mm in diameter, so I would like to know what products from yours will fit mine the best in the view point of intonation and ability for playing, including resistance and dynamics control.
Thank you for your interest in our barrels! We offer our barrels in Standard and Selmer Paris fitment, and some are offered in Yamaha CSG fitment. Most standard clarinets should be compatible with any of our standard fit barrels. Regarding which barrel might suit your musical needs best, we would love to discuss this with you further. Please send an email to sales@backunmusical.com if you have any further questions.
@@backunmusical thank you. I already bought your new traditional barrels for my clarinets, both Bb and A. They works nicely and I have found no problems with them at all for now, but I am a little concerned about in the view point of physics in musical instruments or so.
@@user-du1kx9ij2w Thank you for your comment. Please don't hesitate to send us an email to sales@backunmusical.com if you have any further questions!
“The barrel vibrates freely”? 🧐 Hmm…that’s going to rob the sound of some of its power, given that it’s not supposed to vibrate at all…the air inside oscillates / vibrates.
I think most traditional-style barrels rob the sound of some power...
As long as it does NOT crack
And if it does, we've got your back for 2 years!
Are they all compatible with like all the mouthpieces? I would love to try them but i'm not sure if it works with my BD4
Great question! The Eb Cutback Barrel is compatible with most standard sized Eb Clarinet Mouthpieces. It should work with your BD4, and if you have any further questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to let us know at sales@backunmusical.com
@@backunmusical Thank you!
Very helpful 💪💯🤍
Thank you
So, play it for us
Is she on coke lol all that blinking and eye movement
what's the price?
Hi Tony. The price is $349 USD in the US or $419 CAD in Canada.
Knew this wasn't possible to be a thing lol But honestly, if I got a barrel that let me play in bass and regular range, I would practice clarinet a ton more 😂
I was taught to say "tea" and act as if you try to blow air to cool soup on a spoon. Another great tool is a rubber cane end, then drill a hole in to put a small metal hook or cloth to pull it out. Now, insert the cane end into your bell and try to play a low G. The resistance will push your tongue up into position.
Hello, please enter, I don't understand English, I am writing with a phone translator, please send a small video about how the chin should go down and how to press the reed so that when pressing the reed, the teeth do not leave the lip on the teeth
Good question. Your top teeth should gently rest on top of mouthpiece, and your bottom lip should fold over your bottom teeth. The chin should be as flat as possible. Best of luck!
I just attended a master class.
THANK YOU!! I'm learning clarinet and have been really stuck on tonguing. The Whisper technique helped SO MUCH. BIG breakthrough!!!
Would you be so kind as to compare the Shifrin signature versus Vocalise? Thank you.
Great question! It depends on which Vocalise model you are referring to. The Shifrin is closest to the Vocalise R. The primary difference is that the Shifrin features an A-Frame baffle exit which improves airflow, intonation, response, among other things.
vandouren 3.5 i play on for bass clarinet and Bb clarinet as a 8th grader highly recommend !!
Big difference but i cant do it 😢
Really random: I have never seen this channel before, but this woman looks so much like Salish Matter's mother!
Yeah It's never good to not have enough mouthpiece in your mouth
Как можно купить такой бочонок и сколько стоит он? на все кларнеты подходят?
Come back soon for another alternate fingering tip, but next time for the Rossini!
Great master, great lesson!
This is so beautiful, how do I get your contact details?
Thank you for your kind comment! Please feel free to email us at sales@backunmusical.com if you have any questions about Backun or our products.
Do you use this for C# & B?
You most certainly can!
I'm very curious how to finger this better... For example the middle-C# (with register key) B-C#-D-C#-B-C#-D-C#-B ... etc
@@eeneemeenee6236 Try alternating which pinkies you use for B and C#. For example, use your left pinky for all of the Bs and right for all of the C#s.
@@backunmusical perfect, thanks 🙏
On my Clt the same but instead of C key, the Eb key gives a fatter Bb. Of course if the phrase is ascending I use C key. Thanks for sharing your knowledge. You're a great teacher.
shutbup
My problem is going from a to b
This barrel is probably excellent, but in your comment you state that it improves articulation. Aint nothing going to improve articulation such as fast staccato passages, just hard practicing, every single day. Practice Practice Practice....that's how I got to Carnegie hall.
None of your gear makes me sound different. My ear brings me back to reality & the value of practice.
Physically impossible. 😅
You have to play with the instrument... Sounds like failures don't matter as long as it's about constantly about fixing it. Constantly playing it. Nice
There are like 3 videos that are fit to be grouped as clarinet for idiots. This is just one degree more knowledgeable than the other, not meddling with the very very basics at all. This is still in basics.
Another barrel..again /
